Marlise was coming over.
So I had to clean the place again before she arrived, but I didn’t had a vacuum.
When I asked my neighbors for help, they gave me the manliest solution.
A Roomba!!
Here it is, vacuuming the place.

The Belgians keep on arriving, in Los Angeles 😛
What a coincidence!
First Filip Grossard, now David Decoster.
Normally David had some business meetings somewhere else in America, but they changed it last minute, to Los Angeles.
So he came over, to visit me.
Here he is, driving in my street.
In the right corner you see some children, selling fresh lemonade.
We sat on my terrace for a little bit and then out of the blue, there was a blimp flying over, so I had to take a picture of it.
But from the moment the sun set, it was so beautiful, I had to take another picture.
After a few drinks, we ordered a Uber (Taxi) and went to Santa Monica.
It feels like, there’s always something happening.
This time there was a guy dancing and doing funny things.
So we took some time, to see him perform.
Because we forget to reserve the restaurant and if we wanted to eat there, we had to wait for an hour.
So we decided to go to a sports bar instead, have a drink, eat some wings and Nachos and watch some UFC.
On the 15th of march it was the 30th L.A. Marathon.
As a promotion it was illuminated by 124 skyward spotlights, the evening before the marathon.
It was incredible to see.
The high-power, vertical beams had illuminated the 26-mile route from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica.
Here are some pictures of how it looked:
Today I was chilling on my terrace and I saw a group of parrots flying around.
Or what kind of bird do you think it is?
Today I had “front row tickets”, for a breathtaking sunset.
So it was the ideal moment to fire up the grill, bake some lamb shops and enjoy the view.
Yesterday, I invited some friends to come to my place.
We had a full moon and the sky was clear, so a great evening for a BBQ.
Yesterday I bought an ironing board so I could do the laundry.
Look at this beauty
Today I went to the store to get some detergent, so I could wash my clothes.
But then I had a closer look at my washing machine and the dryer.
It says a lot of things, but no degrees.
And during my “laundry crash course” at home, everybody explained it in degrees, per item.
So all the help I can get, is welcome 🙂

And these are the options on the left side.
Yesterday I had a great time getting to know the neighbors.
They gave me tips on where to go, what to do and so on.
They even gave me some fun facts about the internet.
That it was invented in California, the story behind it and that the first message over the internet was “login”.
In the meanwhile, I introduced them to some Belgium beers:
– Tripel Karmeliet
– Duvel
– Delirium
– Stella Artois
Here’s a picture with Craig.
I Couldn’t get used to drink beer out of the “American” glass, so I bought myself a Belgian glass.
Starting to feel at home, away from home.
Finally I arrived in LA
The first thing I had to do, was getting my rental car at Sixt.
I was really happy, I had choosen Sixt!!
Because I saw some waiting lines at other car rental companies,
where you needed to wait longer than four hours.
So I was really really happy, that I only had to wait as long as the time to make this picture.
As result I got my Chevrolet Cruze, with (T)hug license plates.
Then I drove to my apartment and settled in.
The apartment is exactly as advertised on the internet, what a godsend !!
The living room with the kitchen, provided with all the “necessary”.
The second floor
And I even got a private rooftop terrace !!
Here are some of the views, by day.
Once settled in, I went out to get a new number and find a supermarket.
My new number is 0014242909884, but you can still Whatsapp or imessage me, on my Belgium number ;).
I found a supermarket, but i think have to search a new one, because this one had a little to much caution tape in my opinion. The supermarket was as big as a concert hall and half of it was taped like this :p.
